I stole my mom’s camera when I was 5 and made my family my first models at an amusement park.
I probably asked first, but stole makes for a better story.
Over a decade later, I was gifted a camera in 2022 and started photography and Photoshop classes in college. I did not really plan on turning it into a career. I just loved the way it felt to capture moments.
Now I photograph couples and stories that feel like they could live inside their own movie. Nothing too forced, just honest, cinematic moments that tell the truth of who people are.
The picture I peaked in my career (and yes, my mom is still impressed to this day on how straight it was).
A little more about me
I’ve always had a soft spot for landscapes and architecture. One of my college photography projects focused on the architecture of St. Louis, blended with scenes of nature. There is something about the way light hits a building or stretches across an empty street — the kind of detail you can stare at for hours (and my ADHD definitely does).
I am also drawn to nature landscapes, currently. During some sessions, I will scout locations beforehand and find myself taking photos of the setting itself.
You will see some of the pictures scattered across the website. To see more, ask me for the secret password to enter the personal work page. If you’d like to bring a piece of that stillness into your home, I offer fine art prints from my personal collection.
The Heart Behind The Honeytree Collective
My long-term boyfriend, Sam, is the reason I started photography. He knew how much I loved taking photographs when I was in college, so he bought me my first camera. He still comes along to sessions sometimes, quietly cheering me on from behind the scenes. He has been there for every step of the journey (and every spontaneous idea I’ve had at 2 a.m.).
Meet Richie — my editing supervisor and the real boss behind the scenes.
Thank you for getting this far.
It means more than you know. This little corner of the internet holds a lot of my heart — the people I have met, the places I have loved, and all the moments to come.
